Bed Frame Upholstery

Sides, footboard and rails recovered as a complete bed again

Bed frames

Upholstered beds wear along the rails where you sit, at the footboard, and wherever shoes catch the cloth. Recovering the frame — and usually the headboard with it — makes the whole bed look bought as a set again.

We work around the structure you already have, replace knocked padding, and choose a fabric that can take sitting on the edge every morning.

  • Rails and footboards
  • Headboard included
  • Ottoman bases
  • Edge wear

What this actually includes

Explained, not just listed.

01

Rail recover

Side rails recovered with fabric that can take daily sitting.

02

Footboard

The most-kicked panel reset so it does not look scuffed from the door.

03

Headboard pairing

Headboard recovered from the same fabric roll whenever possible.

04

Base check

Ottoman or drawer bases inspected so the mechanism still clears the covering.

How the job runs

From photos to a piece you can sit on.

A clear path from first pictures to workshop finish — so you always know what happens next.

  1. Photos of each side

Rails, footboard, headboard and any ottoman lid.

  2. One fabric plan

Same cloth across the bed so it does not look pieced.

  3. Workshop recover

Padding reset on edges that have gone thin.

  4. Reassemble

Returned so lids, drawers and clearances still work.

Honest comparison

Advantages & disadvantages

What this service does well — and what to weigh up before you commit.

Advantages

  • Refreshes rails, footboards and panels that still structure well
  • Can improve padding where elbows and knees wear cloth first
  • Keeps a bed size and height you already like
  • Often pairs cleanly with a matching headboard recover

Disadvantages

  • Slats, legs and joints must be sound before covering
  • Storage ottomans add mechanism checks and extra labour
  • Full bed dismantling needs space in the room
  • Matching an old headboard fabric later can be difficult

This page is a good fit if…

  • Upholstered beds that look tired but sit well
  • Matching a bed to new bedroom furniture
  • Ottoman beds with scuffed lids and rails
Quick answers

Questions people actually ask.

Possible, but a full frame recover looks cleaner. Partial recovers show as a panel join.
Usually the upholstered parts come off. We will say what needs disconnecting.
Darker, textured weaves hide everyday sitting better than pale plains.
