How to Photograph Furniture for an Upholstery Quote

Three photos beat a dozen mood shots. What our Hayes workshop actually needs before quoting sofa or chair reupholstery.

A front-on beauty photo tells us little about upholstery work in West London. Useful quotes start with how the piece sits, where it wears, and whether covers can come off without damage.

Send these three shots

  • Whole piece from a slight angle — shape, size, legs.
  • Side-on with someone sitting if possible — shows collapse.
  • Close-ups of arms, seams, tears and staining.

Add context

Your area (Hayes, Hounslow, Uxbridge, etc.), floor level, stairs, and whether it is domestic, restaurant or vehicle seating. Photos are a first look — final price may change after inspection.
