Booth Seating Upholstery

Booths recovered without shutting the dining room if we can help it

Booths

Booths take a sideways sit, a bag on the seat, and a hip against the same panel every night. The inner corner wears first. Recovering a booth is about those high-contact zones, dense enough foam, and a cloth that still looks decent under restaurant lighting.

We plan fitting around covers where we can — a booth out of service is better than a closed floor, if the client can live with a phased job.

  • Inner corners
  • Seat pads
  • High-contact backs
  • Phased fitting

Contract thinking

Built for opening hours, not a showroom sit.

Quantities, cleaning, fire-retardant options and a fitting window that respects trading. That is the commercial brief — photos and a simple count get it started.

  • Matched runs from one fabric plan
  • FR / contract cloth discussed when the room needs it
  • Phased fitting so the floor can keep working
What this actually includes

Explained, not just listed.

01

Corner wear

The inner turn recut so it does not look polished to a shine.

02

Seat density

Foam that holds two people without collapsing into the gap.

03

Matched pairs

Facing booths recovered together so the aisle looks even.

04

Trading-hours plan

A sequence that can leave the rest of the room open.

How the job runs

From photos to a piece you can sit on.

A clear path from first pictures to workshop finish — so you always know what happens next.

  1. Map the room

How many booths, facing or single, and which fail first.

  2. Choose a night-proof cloth

Something that hides scuffs and still photographs well.

  3. Sew the covers

Workshop-cut panels labelled to each booth.

  4. Fit in order

Worst first, or a closed section, agreed before we start.

Honest comparison

Advantages & disadvantages

What this service does well — and what to weigh up before you commit.

Advantages

  • High-impact refresh without replacing booth carcasses
  • Padding and cloth can be tuned for short dwell times
  • Sections can be recovered in phases
  • Commercial cloths resist busy aisle traffic better

Disadvantages

  • Built-in booths need on-site or careful dismantling
  • Curved backs take more patterning time
  • Damaged ply bases may need joinery first
  • Trading must pause in that zone during fit

This page is a good fit if…

  • Diners and restaurants with original booths worth keeping
  • Rooms where new booths would mean builders
  • Operators who need a durable, wipeable finish
Quick answers

Questions people actually ask.

Yes if the backs are still sound. Mismatched new seats against faded backs can look worse.
Cheap ones do. We will talk about material grade, not just colour.
Depends on size and whether pads lift off. Tell us the window.
